WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR ED VISA APPROVAL

Hello! Let’s discuss your goals and provide you with further information regarding the conditions for the ED Visa program. Please note that the conditions for the ED Visa are similar for both English and other languages. The cost of the program varies depending on your preference for the level of privacy during your classes.

At our institution, we offer a range of class options to cater to your specific needs. Our private and group classes are already underway for the academic year 2023-2024.

We warmly invite you to meet with us and explore how we can assist you in achieving your language learning objectives.

How long is the Thai ED visa?

The ED visa for studying Thai at a language school is a 90-day visa that can be extended a maximum of 5 times. The first extension is 30 days, remaining 4 extensions are 60 days, adding up to a total of 12-15 months. The ED visa for language schools is different from the ED visa for universities. After receiving 90 Day Single Entry Non-Immigrant ED Visa, you must visit the school with your passport within 7 days. The school will submit copies of your passport and ED visa to the Ministry of Education for an extension.

ED VISA EXTENSIONS

You will need to extend your ED visa regularly at Immigration. The cost per extension is 1,900 baht. The Immigration officer will quiz you, but questions are usually simple. In most cases, you can get a 60-day extension if you are able to convince the officer of your growing language skills. Failure to do so may result in a 30-day extension or 7 days to leave the Kingdom of Thailand.

90-DAY REPORTING

During your stay in Thailand, it is mandatory to report your local address to the immigration department every 90 days. It is important to note that this requirement is not considered a visa extension. In some cases, the first visa extension and the 90-day report may coincide, allowing you to settle both matters at the immigration office on the same day. This process ensures compliance with the local regulations and helps maintain the validity of your stay in Thailand.

In cases where the 90-day report does not coincide with a visa extension, there are options available for arranging a representative to report on your behalf, either in person or online. For online reporting, you have a window of 15 days before to 7 days before the official report date to submit the necessary information. If you prefer to report in person at the Immigration Office, the window for reporting is from 15 days before to 7 days after the official report date.

It is crucial to adhere to the reporting deadlines. Failing to file the report more than 7 days after the official report date may result in a fine of 2,000 baht. We recommend ensuring compliance with the reporting requirements to maintain your legal status in Thailand and avoid any penalties. If you require assistance or have further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team.

RE-ENTRY PERMIT

If you plan to leave Thailand while holding an ED visa, it is essential to apply for a re-entry permit. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your ED visa upon re-entry.

You have the option to obtain a re-entry permit at the Immigration Office or at the airport. The cost for a single-use re-entry permit is 1,000 baht, while a multiple re-entry permit is priced at 3,800 baht.

Please note that even if you are outside the country, you are not exempt from visa extensions. It is necessary to return to Thailand in a timely manner for an extension; otherwise, your ED visa will be revoked.

It is important to understand that the re-entry permit remains valid only if the current “extension of stay” stamp is still valid. By leaving Thailand with a re-entry permit, you maintain the validity of your current extension.

Furthermore, it’s worth noting that the deadline for filing a 90-day report resets every time you re-enter Thailand. Therefore, it is crucial to comply with the reporting requirements to avoid any complications.

Lastly, it is recommended to retain the receipt of your previous 90-day report filing, even if the due date mentioned on it is incorrect. You should submit this old receipt along with your next report.

Refund Policy

Our refund policy regarding the ED visa application is as follows: If your application fails to receive approval from the Ministry of Education (MOE), we offer a refund. However, if your application is rejected by the Thai embassy, consulate, or immigration, we are unable to provide a refund.

To better comprehend our refund policy, it is essential to familiarize yourself with the two-stage application process: MOE Approval and Visa Application.

The first stage involves seeking approval from the Ministry of Education. If your application is unsuccessful at this stage, we will refund your payment as per our policy.

Once the MOE approves your application, you can proceed to the second stage, which involves submitting your visa application to the Thai embassy, consulate, or immigration. If your application is rejected during this stage, we are unable to offer a refund, as it falls outside our control.

Please review our refund policy thoroughly and feel free to reach out to us if you have any further inquiries or require assistance in understanding the application process.
